I would have given this item 4 stars, other than it is hard to install in my HP laptop. If you try to push it into the slot with your finger, it will not go in far enough to latch, and simply pops back out. You need to take just your fingernail and push the card in until it clicks. It probably needs to go an eighth of and inch past the edge of the laptop to get it to latch. Getting it out is difficult as well, since again you need to use your fingernail to push the card in until it clicks and pops out. I don't know if this is something peculiar to my HP laptop, or if all HP's are like this.
